Leaving Yellowstone

We left Baker's Hole with the intention of staying in one of the campgrounds in Yellowstone. We passed Yellowstone Lake. The campgrounds were all full so we continued on toward Cody. Down the mountain on the other side.

 The scenery along the way was awesome.

Lots of windows & hoodoos.

We stopped at Newton Creek National Forest campground. It was 36 miles west of Cody, WY and there was no cell service. We managed. Our site was backed up to the North Fork of the Shoshone River.

Our neighbors our last night were Zack, Megan, Greg & Sidney from upper Michigan. After the kids were bedded down Mom & Dad came over for a delightful visit and after listening to our travel stories they are counting the years until they too can start on this fantastic life we live.
