Sunday we all went to Hovenweep National Monument.
It's about 42 miles away from Cortez and the trip was beautiful going over thru the Canyon of the Ancients.

Saw lots of ruins on a short hike from the visitor's center.
Chesney even earned her JR Ranger Badge.
Donna overheard the ranger talk about 4X4 roads to more ruins and we were were off. 
The flaura and fauna was about too.

It was a great day and back "home" Dan cooked some delicious burgers and we ate leftovers from last nights party.
