Touring around Cortez

While Dan & Marie were at work we went and played. Mike & Wendy live around the corner so we went Geocaching with them one day.

Because of geocaching we find interesting places that we would not have found. One of them was at the Muffler Man's place. He creates lots of interesting characters from metal scrap and paints them all white.

Bob needed to go to the bank and the closest one was in Durango so off we went for a day of adventure. We headed up toward Silverton and the beautiful snowcapped mountains.

Took a side road thru the aspens. 
On another road we came across a small waterfall.

And a flume. We didn't go all the way to Silverton. We have been there many times and we encountered a little rain. We were dressed in shorts so thought it would be too cold up there. Back at Durango we had a bite to eat and then headed home. Of course, we geocached on the way back.
