Cumbres Toltec Railroad Ride

We left Moab on Friday. Sept. 28th and headed for Albuquerque for the Balloonfiesta . You may remember last year we stopped in Chama to take the Cumbres Toltec Narrow Guage Railroad train trip and after 14 miles the train was stopped and turned back for the first time in it's history due to 8-12 inches of snow. They gave us a "Snow Check" and we tried again this year. On pulling into Chama on Saturday night the weather looked just like last year but on waking Sunday morning it couldn't have been more perfect.
Last year's snow trip.

The little thing following us was to put out fires that the sparks from the coal might start.
Here are some of the beautiful sights we saw...

We stopped for a turkey dinner at Osier an old station and I got this great shot of Bob enjoying the trip.

Taken on our bus ride back from Antonito at the end of the train ride.
