We moved across the state to the east side at Titusville. Our group, Single International, is parking at the Clarion Inn parking lot across the Indian River from the launch site of Cape Kennedy. We have an almost waterfront site.
The group gathered to find out the activities for the week.
Most of us went to a local seafood restaurant. Back at the motel there was music and dancing at the lounge.
Our second day here, Friday, was started with hugs & mugs then a free continental breakfast at the INN. We worked around the MH on the computers etc. in the morning then left for lunch with all the gang at a seafood house. Donna tried Rock Shrimp but were they different. Like miniature lobster tails. In the evening we had a private dance at the Inn.
Saturday was our day at Sea. We bordered a Sun Cruz gambling ship. We were given a free buffet and $5 cash. Ate and gambled the $5 then went up on the deck and read, played our hand held games and napped. We did see a Wright's whale surface once. On the way home we went to the Moose Lodge on Merritt Island. They have a big rv parking area with hookups and a dump station. Dallas, Bob and I stopped at Corky Bells for another of their delicious senior seafood dinners.
Sunday we drove to Orlando to visit Bob's friends. YES, I said Bob's friends. He actually has some here in Florida. Jim worked with Bob at the GM plant in Lordstown. They have a lovely home and we had a wonderful visit and pizza lunch. Jim and Nan do hot rod cruises and shows several times a year and they have a beautiful 37 chevy . Check the link 37 Chevy. Upon leaving there Bob wanted to shop for some new toys at Compusa. Found what he wanted and got to the check out only to have the entire store go dark and everyone shooed out. Back at the INN we went to happy hour and got nachos for dinner before heading into our private room and party with a wonderful 6 piece band. We actually stayed up past WIN's midnight (9pm)
Monday, New Year's Eve. We spent the day at the Kennedy Space Center. Took the tour bus and spent time at the overlook where we saw the shuttle sitting on the pad.
Next was the Apollo/Saturn building where we saw 3 films and the complete Apollo rocket. Massive.
Next was the Space Station building where we saw the various components. Back at the visitors center we rode the new simulator of a space launch. We were not impressed. They should take lessons from Disney. Viewed a 3D IMAX movie of the exploration of the moon. Back at the INN we rested for a little prior to dinner and dancing. Dinner was good and so was the dancing but we both were so sore from walking all day that we took an hour off and came home to rest before returning for the midnight revelry.
Tuesday is moving day again but before we do we will return for the morning to finish up the Kennedy Space Center. We will be staying a few days at Betty and Hank's in Deland

Good to hear that Bob has friends too! You did a much better job with the Space Center. We didn't realize that there was so much there to see and only allowed one afternoon. It was an amazing place.
Happy New Year, you two! Keep up the great blogs!
