On the way in we passed Salvation Mountain.
The slabs are what is left of an old military complex and it is a free spot to hang out. We very rarely stay here as some of the places that people call home could be called a dump site. Here and there are expensive rv's also. For more pictures and information check out Randy's take on it. We had a lovely sunrise 
and then a walk to the old water tanks where an artist has painted.
We moved onto Indio in the afternoon to be with a different singles group.
