More of the Dance Rally

We again went with the gang to the "Burn your own" at the 11th St. Cowboy Bar. A huge crowd now that everyone is here. Most of us wore the red SI dance rally T-shirt. There were long lines for the dinner plates. Our steak was done cooking before I even got our plates then had to add the salad fixings. The band was great and we did a lot of dancing. We left early as my back was hurting from all the standing on concrete at the lessons. Just as Bob left they decided to sing Happy Birthday to him.

The next day was HIS birthday and he went golfing with a few of the guys. I stayed home and rested. The lesson today was the waltz and we both opted out of the class. At noon there was a "What was I thinking of" fashion show and brown bag lunch. It was funny but the pictures didn't come out like I would have liked. We went out with Ron & Linda to celebrate Bob's birthday at a BBQ place. Then to Dairy Queen where we got the carmel/brownie blizzard. Stuffed we were.

On Friday the theme for the evening dance was 5th Ave. Bob bought me this beautiful "vintage" (used) jacket at the General Store. Don't we spiff up good. I (Donna) also got bad news today. First thing in the morning I got word that my grandson was in a house fire and had 2nd & 3rd degree burns on his hands. His face was also burned. In the evening a call from Sandy Mason to tell me here husband had passed away of leukemia on Easter Sunday.

Saturday the kayaker's went on an exciting paddle on the Medina River. It was around 7 miles and took 4 hours. At least 30 small rapids some with turns in the middle of them. All but 3 or 4 took dumps, some as many as 3 times. Bob & I did not turn over but we still got wet from the waves and paddleing. In the evening the dance was a pajama party. What crazy pj's some people came up with. No birthday suits were allowed so all manor of pj's were there.

Gosh, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandson. It sounds like he has a long painful recovery ahead of him.

Love the PJs
