More Moab

We stayed on after the WIN's left. There were only 2 of us by Tuesday. Got the parts for the shocks on Monday. Bob put one on and discovered why it had gone bad. Needed a welder so Tuesday morning we went into town. Did the laundry and then Bob went to the welder. In the afternoon we decided to 4-wheel and Jim Budde went along with us. We did the "Shafer Trail" from Potash to the Canyonlands National Park. It was beautiful. We found one geocache on the way. Jim treated us to dinner at the Moab Diner when we got back in the evening.

Here are some of the pics we took of that trail. The huge boulder just perfectly balanced.

The potash ponds.
Following the Colorado River.
Just a few of the switchbacks.
Near the top looking back the way we came. See the road?

Along the road to camp there are always cliff climbers. That's one sport neither of us want to try.
The sunsets on the rock cliffs are awesome.

The next morning real early we hiked to the Corona and Bowtie arches that are across from the campground. Can't see them from camp. There were 2 geocaches we went after also. We hiked for a cache that took us near to this unnamed arch we can see from the motorhome.
Jim came along too. When we got back we headed to town for one last sundae and breakfast for the guys. At the diner there is a picture of an airplane flying thru the Corona arch. Glad I wasn't aboard.
