Cool Mountain

It was to be in the high 80's here at Lake Mead so we took a day trip to Mt. Charleston. It was 80 miles one way but it was worth every gallon of gas. Not only for the coolness but the scenery was awesome. We found a few geocaches along the way, of course. Not as many as we wanted to because the terrain was pretty steep.
This was one of the first geocaches that was too steep.

Getting closer to the snow.

Cathredal Rock.

Looking down on the desert from an overlook.

The ski slopes.

Bob playing in the snow. In shorts no less.

Then it's back to the lake and another beautiful sunset.

Looks like a great way to cool off.
