Railroad Trail

It was cool, it was windy but we did it anyway. Railroad trail is a 3.5 mile trail following the old track bed that brought the supplies and the workers from Henderson and Boulder City to the Hoover dam site. It is a very scenic walk. We didn't walk the last 1/2 mile to the dam but 6 miles in 2 1/2 hours isn't bad for us old folks.

Nice benches for us to sit on and take in the view.

There are 5 tunnels.

Great views of the lake.

The paddle wheel boat that takes people on cruises to the dam.

Beautiful colored rocks.  Hey, kids. "More red rocks".

And our new camera can really zoom.

Long shot of our campground...that white spot in the distance is the rv park next to the Lake Mead Recreation campground were we are parked.  Be sure and click on the picture so you can see the white spot.

This close up was taken from the same spot. Our motorhome is the one with the internet dish on the roof in the center.
