Lake Roosevelt

We moved up river from Grand Coulee on the lake the dam creates. It's called Lake Roosevelt in honor of FDR who put people to work during the depression building the dam. The campground is called Gifford & is part of the NPS. $5 a night with our Golden Age. It's good to be Golden.

We chose a pull thru campsite across the camp road from the lake. A few trees but none that interfer with our solar or antenae's.

Dragged out the chairs and sat out enjoying the view & watching the ferry. Our loop only had 2 other campers here. By Saturday we were the only ones left on the loop.
We took the ferry across the lake one day back to Republic. Pretty scenery.  A few geocaches.   and a different way home caching over Sherman Pass.
Donna is helping a CCC worker install a stone. Telling him where to put it. Oh yes, there was a cache nearby that she found.

At Coleville we got our mail, checked out the Elk's Lodge then headed home.

A beautiful foggy morning.
And a beautiful sunset that evening
