Lockhart Basin to Moab

We drove with two other couples on a trail that is rated "difficult" in spots. Bob learned a lot and Donna went along for the ride. The scenery was wonderful and there were "Lots of Red Rocks"
We started out heading south from Moab 40 miles before turning into The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park and driving 35 miles to the Needles Outpost.
We topped of the fuel tank at $6.50 a gallon.
Then off we went.

A side trip to Lockhart Canyon took us to the Colorado River.

Back on the main road we encountered this camper coming from the worst part of the road.

We spotted part of a plane that had crashed in 1952.
The roads continued to  get worse.

Saw one camper that didn't make it.

Some beautiful scenery.

 Then the road got worse.

More pretty scenery.
