Another Lake we "LOVE"

We love to go to the Corp of Engineer campground at Abiqui, NM. Have been here at least 3 times before. We would stay in the electric sites but this time we opted for dry camp. After dumping and taking on water we parked the MH 3 times. The first campsite was too short, no room for the car. The second one had been reserved but we didn't know it until after we were parked and all set up. A mix up with the camphosts. They paid for our first night because of the misunderstanding. This was our final site.
We took a day trip up to a series of lakes and, of course, geocached along the way.
The loop home took us past this little famous restaurant we love to go to. In fact, we went twice.
It is famous for it's green chili. While there we chatted with a couple from the Netherlands who are biking for 3 months on "dirt" roads. They started in Calgary 2 months ago and will fly home in one month from El Paso, TX. They book.
Donna has always been curious about the Red Rocks her husband didn't like so we had to take these pics.
More pictures of the Abiquiu Reservior.
Saw this cute rock family on a back road near our camp.

More caching took us on another road back to Chama River.

 And to the Pastel Cliffs.
Where we met this man & his 9 dogs. Quite the character and a good artist.
