Circles, Byway and a Castle

While we were in Salida we went around in circles. Remember the S hill in a previous blog? Well we drove to the top and looked down over the city.

  Then walked to the top where the building was.
Afterwards we treated ourselves to a soak in the indoor hot springs.













The next day we decided to go see Bishop's Castle. The Frontier Byway took us along the river.
 
 Along the way to the castle we came across these big horns right next to the road.









We arrived at the Castle and climbed and climbed and climbed but not clear to the top.
 
 Except maybe this chair.

 
 Coming home we took a dirt road and saw these pretty rock formations

And more of the Arkansas River.
