We had a family visit us this morning with their two fuzzy babies.
Bob got out the maps and decided to head to the desert and a ghost town, La Leindre. The drive down the narrow road was spectular. The purple flowers that have covered acres and acres are called Dakota Mock Verbena.
Of course we got a geocache at the ghost town.
Returning to town we had to take a different route. This was 30 miles and most of it was owned by one rancher, Conchas Ranch. It was a county road so they can't lock the gates and since they didn't have cattle quards we took turns opening about 20 gates.
Near the end we came upon this pretty valley with a deep wash.
