Hereford Home

We are now in Texas. Hereford was home for 3 days. We stayed at the Aqua Center City Park. There were two pretty lakes out front of us and we had 50 amp electric and water. It was free.
We went to Amarillo one day to see our friends Richard & Lindsey Wellman. We met them @ Ute Lake in 2009 and always make it a point to get together with them.
Richard grew up in a small town in the panhandle called Quitaque pronounced Kitty-Quay. We stopped to see his father Jack and had a bite to eat in the cafe across the street from his shop.

We headed out to the Caprock State Park. Richard said it was awesome so we drove the 90 miles one way to get there. It looked like we might be disappointed when all we saw was FLAT land.
Then it opened up and we were in awe.
There was a pretty fishing lake and the dark spot in the road is the Texas herd of buffalo heading to the water.
 They made it.

More pretty scenery.
On our way home we stopped at this historic jail for a geocache.
