Continuing Eastward

Continuing our journey east we stopped at Deming SKP park for two nights on the 4/12 & 13. Played cards and went to the Adobi Deli for linner.

The next stop was back to Balmorhea State Park where we had stayed on our way west. Two night's this time.

Had pretty flowers this time and a neighbor who has just started fulltiming. We filled him in on what to join and where to go and how to do it.

For some reason Verizon decided to overload our usage and we were way above our usage for the month. On a day trip to Ft. Davis we stopped at the library
and then went on our way.

Stopped at Ft. Davis Nat. Monument

and Ft. Davis State Park where Bob had camped before he met Donna.

We were in sight of the observatories also.
On our way we geocached and also went to Peco’s to check out the SKP park there. It is certainly been trashed as it said in the Allstay’s App. We did have a great dinner at the Mexican restaurant.

Moving right along we stopped at Junction at the city park for an overnight on 4/16. It was free, quiet and scenic. Sorry, no pictures. We did check out the state park and we’re glad we didn’t go there as planned. Nice BBQ dinner with people who also rv sitting with us.

Onward to Kerrville’s City Park. Most of the city parks we have encountered in TX where free or a slight charge but this one had been a state park and it was $52 for two nights. 4/17 & 18. We ate at Papa John’s next to the entrance to the park and the manager told us about Mamacita’s Restaurant for the next night. Not only a wonderful atmosphere but a delicious dinner.

Our next journey took us around the city of San Antonio thru the hill country to the Palmetto State Park.

We visited with neighbors and had a great time. It was heavily wooded and lacked sunshine. We did a day trip looking for bluebonnets. Started with breakfast in Luling, geocaching and a long drive to Stockdale. No bluebonnets but we did luck out on finding a very cheap place to fuel up when we left the next day headed back to the Colorado River Thousand Trails for a 9 day stay. Hope our friends come too. That's all for now, folks.
