Rocky Harbour

This is our camp site at Rocky Harbour.

We didn't rest on our laurels or anything thing else after our 6K hike yesterday we had to top it by doing a 10K today. That's 3.7 miles and 6.2 miles respectfully. We hiked to Baker's Brook Falls. Not one but 3 falls in a few hundred feet. Awesome.

Along the way we stopped to smell the roses or at least all the various flowers we saw.

Unfortunately no moose were spotted and thankfully no bears either.

Bob did have to alter his hiking boots that caused a great blister on his heel. Oh well, time for a new pair.

We went for a drive and found a seafood market and got scallops and mussels and had a feast. We also took a drive to Norris Point and have decided we must return for some kayaking there.

In the evening we went to the local pub to watch a performance of
Anchor's Aweigh.

This is an "Ugly Stick" he is playing.
Everywhere you go their music is playing. Very "Newfie". Ticket's went on sale at 7:30 for the 9pm preformance. We planned on coming back to wait until then but it was standing room only and we lucked out and found 2 seats with the Escapee people we had hailed when we first got here. Lorena and Chris Beatty. Yes, Judy & Doug we know you know them. The entertainers were so good we stayed to the end of the show then walked home.

A 10K hike - you are my heroes! I haven't done anything longer than 5 miles in years. Great scenery.
