More of our stay at Eagle Lake

Gracie arrived this morning. Our group now has nine rigs here. We took off for Taos. Bob needed a UPS store to send the wind gen back for repairs. Along the way we searched for geocache's. Found 5 before leaving Taos. We took the long way home after having lunch, getting gas and more groceries. It was a beautiful drive thru the Carson National Forest. The weather turned bad and we hit a stretch where there was hail.
Lots of it. Flash flood places across the road. We stopped at Coyote Creek State Park for the state park cache's but it was raining. This park has a shower and we had brought along our stuff so we had nice long hot shower's.

On the weekend Eagle Nest had an Art's Festival. We went down and looked around. The rest of the afternoon we rested. We work so hard in this lifestyle. Circle was held in the "garage". Diane brought a blueberry cake and Janet some trout she personally caught.

I went to Taos for the festival with Janet one day. We ate at this restaurant on the outdoor patio but as you can see the crowds came and we had to go across the street to view the parade. It's the 75th birthday for Taos. The vender area got crowded after the parade was over. Al and John arrived at the campground and circle was again held in our garage.

This cute little couple was looking around surveying their domain.

We finally got our kayaks wet. We tested the new wheels and took them thru all the grasses, weeds and small trees to get them to the water. A lovely paddle clear across the lake
to the canyon

where the dam is.

All the rv's lined up on the shore belong to our group.
