Parker 425

A race named after Bob? No, but is an interesting race. We came with the car last year but this time we brought the motorhome.  We had a beautiful sunset  the night of our arrival.

The vehicles leave Parker around 6:30 am and it's 8am before they get here. Donna likes this as she can keep warm, have a bathroom that's not a port-a-pot and all the comforts of home.

Bob went and saw the cars on display Thursday (Check our previous blog for pictures.) and now gets to watch them race.

We were awake before light and watched from inside until it got warmer and less dusty. The wind was blowing the dust toward us. Later it blew it away and Bob even took a chair up and watched from there.  He could see them from far off as a cloud of dust heading this way. Donna went up top briefly, the first time she has been on the roof.

There was a little excitement when a BLM dog sniffed something in a car nearby but nothing was found.

It was crowded here during the day but by supper time it had cleared out. And still the racer's keep going by.
