Forest Drive, Purse and Castle

Another day trip thru the Helena National Forest took us past old Fort Logan.
Along the way we spotted wildlife. Grouse

Deer.
And lots of pretty rocks.
Thru gold country. We even saw a couple of men looking for gold.

When we reached the other side we stopped at an overlook of Canyon Ferry Lake.

We drove thru Townsend, caching & checking on campsites when Bob spotted something in the busy main street. It was a small purse full of cash & credit cards. Donna looked for ID and we called AAA & a credit card's customer service who both got hold of Lynann. That evening she called and the next morning they drove from Great Falls to here to retrieve the purse. She & John treated us to breakfast.

After they left we toured the Castle. An historic home here in White Sulpher Springs.
Nearby to the campground Donna admired these sunflowers against the old wood shed.
