Heart Mountain Museum

We spent a few hours touring the excellent museum and the grounds. This is one of the sites used to house the Japanese from the west coast during WW11. The museum is built like the barracks. Each building was built in one hour.

It was cold in the winter. Down to -40. It was hot while we were there in the summer.

The barricks were divided into 6 apartments and this was an example of what it looked like when they arrived.
This was after they made it a home.

They shared latrines & mess halls. Each block looked like this.

This a memorial.
And a remaining barrack.
The remains of the hospital.
